Stone Sculpture Dress
Inspired by the rock formations in the area of Volax on Tinos Island. This piece is one of the central figures of Hydrouessa’s collection as it represents the element of earth on the island.
The dress is knitted entirely out of warped panels that were then draped onto a mannequin to take the form of the female body while referencing the fluidity of the island’s rock formations. The recycled silk threads used for this piece were attentively chosen to camouflage amongst the rock formations of the island.
