De- Threaded Shirt Linen Cotton

Each woman had a duty to complete a dowry before her marriage and one significant textile technique found in their embroideries was the cut stitch design that represented rivers.

This hand embroidered technique is used on the classic men’s-shape shirt, removing threads one by one from the weft of the material to create the ladder technique.
